Painted Quilt Blocks

You may be wondering about the painted quilt block on the front porch!

Each Spring, there will be a new quilt block featured on the porch. So each time you visit, you can take a new photo with a different block to remember your times at Fireside!

For our first year, I chose the timeless block “Amish Star” mainly because of its simplistic beauty and history which I thought reflected our century home quite wonderfully.

I encourage all of you to take a picture or two with the painted quilt blocks!

Please feel welcome to email me any photos from your stay at Fireside Retreat if you’d like them featured on the website (or just to share with me!).

Historic Beauty

You and your group can enjoy the comfort that surrounds you as you enter and explore the beauty of this lovingly restored home. Four Rumford fireplaces, wide plank flooring, the claw-foot bathtub, and exposed stone walls are just a sampling of what our retreat has to offer from the 1830’s.
